Escaping can be a tempting offer.
Running off with Captain Finn to deliver a portion of the stone to Silo seemed to October like the perfect way to get some breathing from her two Reapers, but she soon learns how horrible life without them can be. Despite her best efforts to slip through Silo unnoticed, October soon finds herself swept up in a war against an army that turns out to be worse than her greatest nightmares. She’s determined to hold her ground, until a budding friendship with the uncaring and violent Captain Finn turns her world upside-down.
This is the fourth book in the 9-part Terraway series written by USA Today Bestselling Author Mary E. Twomey.
Tempt A Reverse Harem Adventure Terraway Book 4 eBook Mary E Twomey
I usually read as a form of escapism. Happily ever after are a must for me. Yet I find I continue to torture myself when it comes to this series. Poor October, is the girl ever going to get a break? I feel as soon as she comes to terms with something or something positive happens in her life, it gets ripped from her. Maybe thays the point as the reader, we are supposed to feel the same emotional upheaval. Congrats to the author on a job well done in that respect. I do feel the characters are starting to give me whiplash. Half the time I love them, then hate them, they love them again. I will say that I found Finn to be the standout. October's strength continues to surprise me amd I honestly felt Finn to be a good counterpart. He doesn't expect her or want her to be weak ( one play acting experience aside that made me hate him aside). I'm actually anticipating when the walls come tumbling down and he turns into the villain. Bit such is the nature with this series. Come for the interesting story line, stay for the extremely screwed up and complicated characters.Product details

Tempt A Reverse Harem Adventure Terraway Book 4 eBook Mary E Twomey Reviews
So I'm not just leaving a review so Von won't die... Please Von don't die😠Somebody please cut October a break. I wanna hug her...for half a second.
Ok next topic... wait let me get some water... and a bathtub... and a damn pedicure!!!!! Daaaaaayuuuuum!!! I need Finn!! Freaking Hawt! Ok I'm done. Read the book.
I don't know how it is possible, but it was better then the last book. "Tempt" is spectacular! I love the dialogue between October Grace and Finn. Of course totally consumed with the relationship October has with Von. And , wow, the direction the story turned with Bev's character......powerful stuff. The stories just keep getting better! The hardest part is waiting for the next one.
For starters, let me just say that Mary Twomey is a cosmic GENIUS!! I was on shaky ground with Finn the first couple of chapters, but he quickly surpassed Mason as my favorite Terraway hunk. I was glad to see October step it up in both her self-confidence and her battle skills. New creatures and new terrain made this world come alive even more. This series has given me so much emotions, entertainment, frustration, satisfaction. I can't get enough! If you haven't already, BUY AND READ THIS SERIES!!! That is all!
This book is rediculously good. Yes, like many romance novels it is a little cheesy and far fetched. Yes, the author needs a better editor (and a lesson in using the oxford comma--which is VERY distracting/annoying. ex though not verbatim 'Mason, Von and I are going to the car.' makes you think someone is speaking to Mason.) Yes, the fantasy elements SUPER over the top, yes. But it is SUPER absorbing, emotionally pulls you in (shed more than one tear,) and an all around entertaining read...cant put it down!
I'm the type of reader that naturally just tries to figure out the plot line and characters while reading the story. Even with the intensity this storyline has, the back of my mind is still trying to figure it out and get a clear idea of each of the characters. But let me tell you readers, this author does not allow you that privilege!! There's is not too much that is predictable about this story. You'd think by book 4, you'd have some things figured out and in a comfortable rhythm but not this author or this story. Hang unto your hats this story is quite the ride with all the fun flips and twists!
Tempt, the fourth book in the Terraway Saga, continues the story at the same high level as the previous three books. It's a remarkable piece of world building, based largely on Filipino folklore and tradition.
It also takes a remarkably clear-eyed view at mental illness-- the protagonist, October Grace, suffers from severe Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, which effects every aspect of her life. Her OCD is controlled to the degree that it is by a mixture of will power and medication.
The book, like the entire series thus far, is well written and edited, virtually devoid of the typographical errors that plague so many books on /.
Highly recommended.
If you've read my other reviews on the Terraway novels, you know that I absolutely love them! This one was no different, I still love everything about these books. Sadly, I have deducted a star because some of the character's actions were out of, well, character.
October is still trucking away at her job. The guys are beginning to show actual flaws. Her mom and brother are finally in on it. There is more "romance" in this installment than there has been in previous books, and I ate it up! While reading, I took notes of things I wanted to touch on in my review while I was reading, but if you want an in-depth review, you'll have to check out my blog (linked on my profile).
